How to use it

Fill the tank and reset the trip meter.
Drive normally, then fill up again.
Enter the miles on the trip meter and the gallons added.

How it works

MPG = miles ÷ gallons. L/100 km = 235.215 ÷ MPG. Cost per mile = price per gallon ÷ MPG. Averaging three or more fill-ups gives a more reliable figure than the dashboard estimate.

What is good gas mileage?

For 2020s cars, 30+ MPG combined is good for a non-hybrid sedan, 25+ for a compact SUV and 45+ for a hybrid.

How do I convert MPG to L/100 km?

Divide 235.215 by the MPG. 30 MPG ≈ 7.8 L/100 km.
